only alert to the fact that we don’t stop it all

there’s so many ways to break your heart

picking up where we left off has become a good skill
and I was happy with that
happy I thought until
you make suggestions like that

I may not have noticed this phenomenon before
that all that glitters is most certainly made of gold
and if you were to break up everything into sand
the pieces you're left with would still be just like them

I kept in a suitcase
to save darker times
flowers are perfect and no one would contest
even when bitten by insects we still attribute them the best
snowflakes are endless but no one has ever checked
when they fall on your eyelashes I've the same type of sureity

keep safe within distance

I won’t well remember anything but
things that I can use later that remind me of you
things are important
like dates, times and places
some things are important to do
but
some are more than
some are less than
some outweigh them
and I will always let them
I wish I’d remember
the information required
in what you said
but I get distracted
by noticing inflections of
the things you haven’t said
and
I do not remember
you saying you didn’t like me
I can not remember on demand if that is any use to you
It is so confusing where there is stuff like
bills and tax and shopping and meetings
when other things remind me beauty is required
in a sense of knowing
that
promises
guarantees
I cannot give you any of these
but quantity and a constancy
you can set your clock by these
